Mothers Day and lost at Dick's

We celebrated a bit early and went to dinner on Saturday night at Salt Grass..it was yummy! We had to wait a while, but it was worth it. Kade man fell asleep half way through his salad, but I he had a full tummy and that is what was important.

Sunday: What a great day! I woke up to a beaufiful breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and toast cooked by my thoughtful husband and sweet son! Kade is just like his mother in the way that he can't wait to give gifts. He couldn't stand it any longer so he went and got my gift for me! I got two bags of jelly beans, two bags of double bubble, and the Ed Hardy perfume I had been wanting. It smells DELICIOSO! Kade had also been working on this book at school that he gave me...here are a few excerpts:

My mommy and I go to: The dentist! (we've been once!)
My mommy and I like to read: books about red? ( no idea what he is talking about)
My mommy and I play: race cars together (okay!)
My mommy and I like to eat: spaghetti and meatballs (yum!)

He illustrated the book himself..it's the cutest thing ever! So once I read my book I got the idea to make my mom one as part of her gift. Here is Kade working intently on it-

We kept with the same concept for mom's book, but at the end I decided to add some extras that Kade came up with like-
Age- 21 (she loved this)
Weight- 80 lbs
Height- 49 inches
Hair- White and warm
Looks- pretty like my mommy and wrinkly!!!
Loves- Diet Coke and me

After we brought mom her gifts we had to head to Firewheel mall b/c my 4 1/2 year old needed new shoes AGAIN! Keep in mind his age when I say that we had to buy a size 13 shoe for him...it's crazy. So while we were at Dick's we were letting Kade run around the track they have in the shoe department...the next thing we know he is gone. My heart was in my stomach and we were yelling for him all over the place. It was a nightmare that seemed like an eternity and it was only about 2 minutes. We found him up at the front with a sales associate crying. Thank GOD he knew to go find someone in charge. It was the scariest moment of my life. I think he now understands why I get upset when he won't stay beside me in the store and why he ends up in the grocery cart all of the time. I told him my heart would break into a million little pieces if I ever lost him.

After he took his nap we met Mike back over at my mom and dads. They are in the process of building a fence so Kade got to help paint! I think he got more paint on his clothes than the wood, but he had a great time!

At last it was time to practice catching. He just started t-ball and he can hit and throw, but catching is our issue. He practiced catching tonight with his daddy, bubba, and Bop-O. Hopefully he will get the hang of it soon...at least he's not afraid of the ball! Practice is so cute. We go every Monday and Wednesday and the games will begin in June. I can't wait! Here is my little guy practicing tonight...
